  Zhang Dingzhao - a famous Chinese oil painter and art educator.
  
  1. He was born in Pucheng, Fujian Province in 1938 .
  2.He was admitted to the middle school belonged to Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts (formerly China Academy of Fine Arts) in 1955.
  3. Due to his outstanding grade, he was elected to Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts majoring in oil painting to receive a further education in 1958.
  4. He graduated from Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts oil painting departmen and got his bachelor's degree in 1963. His painting "a play" which was finished for the graduating displayed in the Eastern China , and gain attention and praise from Chinese art field. The magazine "art" and other media widely publicized it.
  5. In 1964 his painting "Growing up in the battle," (co-operate with others) was stored up by the Chinese Art Museum; it was the cover for magazine "art"; it was chosen into the "20th century Chinese painting exhibition" and was put into the Collection of photo albums "The 20th century collection of Chinese oil paintings" .
  6. He had been working at the East China Normal University, Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts, and other institutions of higher education since 1964 as the head of the department and so on.
  7. In 1989, he was invited to the Villanova University in United States to hold exhibitions and lectures, and he was appointed Visiting Professor.
  8. In 1997, the United Kingdom Cambridge Biographical Centre awarded him the "Outstanding Achievements of the 20th Century Award."
